Hey Genius – looking for a part time assignment during your studies?

We are now looking to strengthen the lab capacity with a couple student workers, to help out during peak periods and for longer term investigations. Potential tasks are generally hands-on and will be supervised by FPC staff. Data analysis and reporting will also be requested.

In the R&D lab we run reliability testing, prototype preparation and evaluation, failure analysis and surface characterization. All tasks are related to FPC’s capacitive fingerprint sensor products for the smart card industry. A variety of instruments are used e.g. optical microscope, mechanical stress equipment, milling machine, 3D printer, UV and temperature chambers, water contact angle tester, electrical and functional testers with associated SW.

Who you are

We believe that you are in a Master program within a relevant technology area, i.e. electrical engineering/physics/material sciences or equivalent. We expect you to have an analytical mindset and a deep technical interest. Candidates with lab experience is preferred and experience from data analysis and statistics tools is appreciated. Most of the communication is in English.

Our main office, that holds the R&D lab, is located on Kungsgatan 20 in the center of Gothenburg, close to public transportation. Expected weekly effort is in the range of 5-10 hours but will be agreed on an individual basis.
